Pioneer Park Campground has many activities and recreational facilities.  We have a full time activities director who posts a list of the scheduled activities for the weekends near the office and at the activities booth.

Fishing

FISHING

Children, 11 and under, may fish in the paddleboat lake at no charge.  The other three lakes are stocked with trout every Wednesday and Saturday in April and May (usually around 8:00 a.m.) then every Satuday through September and require a permit to fish.  Permits are sold in the campground office.  Cost is $8.00 for adults and $6.00 for children 11 and under.  Fishing is permitted from dawn until dusk only - no night fishing.  There is no limit to your catch and you are allowed two poles per fisherman.  Pennsylvania state fishing license not required. Weekend Fishing Pass for campers available - $12.00 Adults and $9.00 for children

ACTIVITIES PASS

A weekend activities pass is available for campers staying at Pioneer Park which includes 2 rounds of mini golf and 2 - 1/2 hour paddleboat rides per day for 2 people.  The cost of the pass is $8.00 per person and can be purchased at the office or activities booth.

Catholic:  St. Peters, which is located in Somerset, 7 miles (15 minutes) from Pioneer Park.  Directions are available in the office.
